Hi, I’m Kanika, the chef behind Sandy’s.My love for baking started young, with simple Betty Crocker cakes made alongside my mum. When she got busy with work, I kept the tradition alive, experimenting with recipes of my own.During the lockdown, with my father’s encouragement, I started my homebakery - Bakedbykanika. It quickly became a family project — our “baby,” nurtured with love, late nights, and lots of buttercream.But as my curiosity about food deepened, I pressed pause. I wanted to learn more about nutrition and wellness. What I discovered changed the way I saw desserts: gut health is the key to overall health. That insight shaped the way I bake today.
